Erin P (00:00:06)
I want to start with a confession because I know so many of you carry the same exact one. I have built my life on being the doer, the one who makes it happen, the woman who outworks, outplans, outstrategizes the room. And every time my life cracks me open the losses, the custody battle, my mom's illness, my first instinct was to grip harder, to fix it, to force it back into shape.
And today's guest has spent 75 years learning, teaching, embodying the exact opposite. And he will tell you very plainly that you are not the doer, that the very struggles you are fighting were chosen by you at the level of your soul. And I know how that lands for a room full of builders. So stay with me, y'all. This is not permission to stop, it is permission to stop forcing.
There is a difference and it is everything. All right, y'all. Welcome, Marvin, to the show. It's the Meta Business Millennial Podcast. Hey. Hey. Amazing, amazing. ⁓ so I just want to jump right in because we got a chance to talk and I got to learn a little bit about your background. ⁓ And, you know, from Nashville by way of Virginia Beach ⁓ and the Edgar Casey Foundation. And I really want to just
Marvin Wilkerson (00:01:13)
Hello, Aaron, I'm happy to be here.
Erin P (00:01:33)
Ask you very straightforwardly, like you've been walking this path for 75 years. And it all started with a reading at 18 years old. Can you tell us about that? ⁓
Marvin Wilkerson (00:01:45)
well I mean, you know, when you're eighteen you're still pretty ⁓ you're still pretty vulnerable and naive. ⁓ and of course, I mean, you know, I was still in ⁓ my last year of high school, so you know, it was just all the the programming and a little bit of the religion ⁓ and and i you know, i it it's just you're in that learning phase. You're being taught.
And you're being taught what ⁓ w the the structure that education system wants to teach you. You know, there there's an old saying, or I've heard so many times, I mean, we need burger flippers. ⁓ So we don't we don't need an education system that makes everybody smart, ⁓ which is ⁓ which is a horrible way to think about education.
Erin P (00:02:22)
Yes.
Erin P (00:02:36)
Right, right.
Erin P (00:02:43)
Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:02:44)
⁓ so I it it spawned me ⁓ at that age ⁓ with my mother's ⁓ journey and ⁓ and ⁓ search ⁓ to read the book ⁓ from ⁓
Think on these things by Judah Krishna Murray. And Krishna Murdy has a fascinating way of asking questions when asked a question. ⁓ And it it it just it just turned off a turned on a switch and off one switch, ⁓ and it turned on the switch that, hey.
Erin P (00:03:16)
Yes, yes.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:03:30)
I can do my own research. I can do my own learning. And this is a ⁓ this is a kid growing up, and I only read one book in high school, and that was White Fang. ⁓ And I and I started halfway through it because I hated reading. ⁓ And then that book just turned me into ⁓ a And ⁓ I ⁓
Erin P (00:03:46)
Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:03:55)
I mean, I haven't ever been able to get enough. At one time in my life, I was reading thir three, four books a week ⁓ and ⁓ is chewing them. ⁓ And and then of course in the nineties, when ⁓ yeah, I mean what brings it all forward is when in the nineties I was working with my spiritual teacher. ⁓ and ⁓ he said one of the most ⁓
Erin P (00:04:01)
Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:04:22)
One of the most impressive phrases that I've ever heard, walk the talk or throw the shit away. ⁓ And that struck me that not, I'm not just learning. ⁓ I am here to be a doer of what I've learned. ⁓ And then I said, ⁓ lordy. ⁓
Erin P (00:04:27)
Mm.
Erin P (00:04:41)
That part.
Erin P (00:04:48)
That's the part. That's the hardest part. And that really leads me to my next question because your book is about the soul fusion healing. So the fusion of the learning, the fusion of the doing, the fusion of the embodiment. It's the integration of the mind, the body, and the soul. So why do you think that book needs to exist?
Marvin Wilkerson (00:05:09)
Well, it's a it's a culmination of all of my studies ⁓ and ⁓ all the tools that I have used to work with people, coach people, counsel people, heal people. ⁓ so i it ⁓ it just ⁓ it just kind of started out ⁓ in Florida two years ago on vacation.
Erin P (00:05:38)
wow. ⁓
Marvin Wilkerson (00:05:38)
And ⁓ you know, I always said, ⁓ I mean, I have whined about wanting to write a book for ⁓ 20, 25 years. Wha and I went and I mean the word whining ⁓ because ⁓ I'd start, I'd get a chapter in, I get a few pages in, I'd get some done, ⁓ and then I would ⁓ and then I would just lose interest. Now that's the case of trying to be the doer.
Erin P (00:06:08)
Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:06:09)
Because I've got, I ⁓ after I was just really whining about wanting to write, wanting to write, wanting to write, I had a dream ⁓ during a waking up period ⁓ in a hypagogic state, and I got this page that had words on it that I could see very clearly. And then I heard this voice say, if we wanted you to write, this is how we'll give it to you. ⁓ And I said,
Erin P (00:06:37)
Mm.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:06:39)
Well, that's the end of my writing career because I could care less. ⁓ And so ⁓ but it did hit me and bit me ⁓ in ⁓ on vacation. And I and I just started out writing about, you know, w the the astrological ⁓ times to come and what it meant for the country to go through what we're going through.
Erin P (00:06:43)
Yeah. Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:07:08)
And then all of a sudden it turned into more and more and more and more. ⁓ And ⁓ once I started pulling on that thread, ⁓ is the needle in the haystack, it became a haystack. ⁓ And you know, so it leads from ⁓ the place of ⁓ the Hermetic principle, all is mind, ⁓ all the way to quantum healing.
Erin P (00:07:21)
Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:07:35)
Which is the unification of your highest ability to to r unite with universal consciousness. And so ⁓ the book on the book wrote itself. ⁓ And that's how I was guided. ⁓ I don't take credit for it, and I don't take credit for if it sells, if it don't sell, it doesn't make any difference. That was ⁓ it was put on paper. I worked hard.
Erin P (00:07:44)
Yes.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:08:05)
And ⁓ it unfolded the way it unfolded.
Erin P (00:08:10)
I love it. ⁓ And I love it because of your just your approach to it. Like this is what you were called to do. You resisted it for a while. And then it came up when the resistance was less. ⁓ And it and it and it flowed, but it did take work. And then you completely are detached from its performance, which
Marvin Wilkerson (00:08:25)
Mm-hmm.
Erin P (00:08:36)
I mean, and y you can feel that detachment. You're like, I don't care if it sells or it doesn't sell. ⁓ People may say that, but they don't really mean it. But you do. And I just think that that's really beautiful that you're able to ⁓ walk on your path and do your work and not attach the the results to it to make it something and that's where the pressure comes in too, I have to say. I mean, you also talked about how
You read the red letters as a boy. And I and I wanted to bring this up only because I'm I'm been listening a lot to ⁓ the way of mastery and the the channeling of Yeshua Ben Joseph, otherwise known as Jesus. ⁓ And you only wanted to know what Jesus said is what you said. You know, ⁓ and at you and you point out that you never said read the Bible, that Jesus said never read the Bible. He says to seek. ⁓ And what has a life of seeking taught you?
That a life of believing never could.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:09:39)
Well, believe when you believe. ⁓ you know my favorite quote there comes from James Hillman, which was a very highly recognized psychologist. And he wrote the book A hundred years of psychology and very little has changed. ⁓ And ⁓ so his favorite one of my favorite quotes from him is to be sane, we must ⁓
Erin P (00:09:58)
Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:10:08)
We must recognize our beliefs as fiction.
So it's never about holding on to a structure, a belief, or a dogma. It's about allowing life to unfold in its perfect way in your life and you participating and observing and taking it in without trying to make it something other than what it is. ⁓ Let life, let reality be reality from Lazoo.
Erin P (00:10:40)
Yeah.
Erin P (00:10:44)
Mm-hmm.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:10:45)
And I think ⁓ yeah, you know, he said it as well, stop thinking and end your problems. So there's nothing to ⁓ you know and and it's ⁓ you know it's tough, it's hard because I mean you even when I teach people that it's like their their eyebrow raises. ⁓
Erin P (00:10:52)
Yeah. ⁓
Marvin Wilkerson (00:11:12)
Wha wha what do you mean by that? ⁓ Well ⁓ it and it's ⁓ you know, all truth is practice. It's just like walking the talk. And so y you know, when I started ⁓ with one of my NLP ⁓ s ⁓ scripts that I wrote, it's about pulling down white light down your spine and coming into
Erin P (00:11:15)
I mean, I wish I could do that like I wish so bad I could do that. ⁓
Erin P (00:11:24)
Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:11:41)
balance and equilibrium. ⁓ And that kind of comes out of the 60s with all us hippies was, you know, move get into center, get into balance. ⁓ And ⁓ and so ⁓ I had to practice that for several weeks before I could actually do that in a millisecond. And I'm I mean and then and now I mean any given moment I can have a white light dividing my body right in half.
running down my spine. And that and that immediately equates to balance, ⁓ center, ⁓ and focus.
Erin P (00:12:11)
Mm-hmm. ⁓
Marvin Wilkerson (00:12:22)
And so it immediately puts me into theta brainwaves, ⁓ which then becomes my creative ⁓ abilities to ⁓ connect to what ⁓ one of my recent quotes of ⁓ is from Walter Russell that probably could be my favorite quote of all time.
He says, I believe that every man can multiply his own ability by almost constant wordless ⁓ realization of unity.
Wordless realization of unity.
With ⁓ source.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:13:09)
I have myself made fe that feeling so much a part of me that I actually feel myself to be an extension ⁓ of the source, ⁓ that my works are not my own but interpretations ⁓ of this source.
Now that Walter Russell was one of the giants of the twentieth century. I mean, you know, you could put him right on up there with Nikolai Tessa and Einstein and ⁓ and some of the some of the others, Jung and some of the others, very ⁓ very well ⁓ you know, I don't want to say in doubt, but I mean just just have ⁓ big time thinkers.
Erin P (00:13:58)
Certainly. Highly conscious being. Certainly.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:13:58)
⁓ of ⁓ self-realization. ⁓ And I mean that that wordless realization of unity, that's what struck me. I was on a podcast yesterday with a doctor, ⁓ and I was trying to ⁓ express my ⁓ express the concept the the concept that beliefs ⁓ are fiction.
That's where we get in trouble is our thinking, because our thinking starts going into a structured belief. And then that's the way you see reality. Well, then you're not seeing reality as it is. ⁓ You're seeing it from the way you want to believe it. ⁓ And that's ⁓ actually the personal consciousness, ⁓ which is part of the overbrain and the ⁓ and the ego structure, as well as.
your physical senses ⁓ as well as ⁓ your body because they're all in cahoots ⁓ of ⁓ of ⁓ you know however you're ⁓ moving through life ⁓ and experiencing ⁓ and so ⁓ you you have to you have to try to ⁓ when you're working with a belief
Erin P (00:15:00)
Yes.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:15:25)
That it's fiction. It's not true.
Erin P (00:15:28)
Mm.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:15:30)
And just and just and then then that allows you to stay much more in the moment. Another
Erin P (00:15:36)
Well, I wanna I wanna build on that because we have an audience here of women entrepreneurs, likely many of them also, CEOs, leaders. ⁓ And you tell CEOs to their faces that you are not the doer. ⁓ And on top of that, ⁓ right now you you ⁓ you're saying like everything is fiction. So I'm and you said that they hate it. And and I'm pretty sure you're telling someone too. I'm I'm I'm I don't know how the doctor received it, but I don't know if the doctor probably received this fiction.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:15:50)
yeah, I have. ⁓
Erin P (00:16:05)
statement very well either. So I want you to unpack this you are not the doer, this fictional type existence statement. ⁓ for the woman that built everything or feels like she built everything with her own two hands.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:16:21)
Well, before you come into this life, ⁓ and I've done enough regressions and and taken people through the pre-life ⁓ meetings, ⁓ so to speak, with their teachers, guides, and angels, you're mu you are presenting your life plan at the soul level of what you're going to ⁓
Participate in in this life. You're going to pick every single person you meet. You're going to pick your parents. ⁓ You're going to pick ⁓ the ⁓ lessons ⁓ that you need to experience and learn from. And that that will meet with the approval ⁓ of that board.
So that as you enter life, your life plan is already in place. ⁓ And that goes along with quantum theories now, where so many of the quantum physicists believe in ⁓ that we live in a simulation. And then and that naturally makes sense ⁓ because also desire.
Comes from your soul. It doesn't come from your ego. It doesn't come from you. Your desires ⁓ are are come into your ⁓ mental concept through your soul, which is actually ⁓ connected to your over soul. ⁓ So your desires ⁓ are imprinted in you. ⁓ And I and I ⁓ and I and I just realized.
How that was being driven home by Michael Talbert's book, Holographic Mind, when they actually hooked a person up to the ⁓ skull cap that measures brain activity. ⁓ And what they did was they set up a situation where when they touched him, that registered on his
Marvin Wilkerson (00:18:36)
mind, ⁓ you touch me. Well ⁓ about a ⁓ millisecond before he recognized that touch, brain activity had already increased with the touch. Now there was a small gap.
And so when you start to understand that you are guided, ⁓ that your desires come from ⁓ your higher self and your oversoul, well then now you realize ⁓ that when I say you're not the doer, and I don't mean that you're not thinking and you're not working hard, I mean that.
Everything is created from the subconscious mind, which creates ninety-five percent of your reality. It's a million times more powerful than your conscious thinking mind. So why on earth would you think? How about follow that guidance, that feeling, that intuitive ⁓ understanding to now start? ⁓
⁓ using your visions, ⁓ using your intuition to work towards ⁓ what you're being shown or what's being ⁓ what seems to be exciting. ⁓ And ⁓ and ⁓ from that perspective the subconscious takes a vision and ⁓ it creates a neural pathway in your brain that actually then electrifies
the ⁓ the electric field around your whole body and it electrolyzes your b elect ⁓ electrifies your body, which then becomes your attraction, repulsion, adhesion, cohesion principle in your life.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:20:42)
And so when you put all of that together, and I know that was ⁓ quite the diatribe there, ⁓ that that is how that ⁓ I can very comfortably say you're not the doer. You didn't do that.
Erin P (00:20:50)
⁓ I'm here for it.
Erin P (00:21:02)
Yes, yes, yes. ⁓ And ⁓ I we can continue to build on that because the next question really ⁓ follows that because you say all desires come from the soul group. And you didn't say that specifically just now, but that we don't actually author our own desires. If we did, we'd never choose the struggle, right? So I want you to walk yeah, walk us through that because like what what is a soul group?
Marvin Wilkerson (00:21:25)
Right. Well you wouldn't choose pain. ⁓
Erin P (00:21:31)
You know, what what t share more about this sort of this council, this, you know, this ⁓ this idea that we're we did agree to this these contracts before coming here. So yeah, help people understand like what's really happening and and why they're going through challenges. Like I mentioned before, like I and I talk about it all the time. Like, had I known that, you know, by choosing my son's father that I'd still be here today, like
Going in and out of custody court, losing him, like not having custody of him. I would have never talked to that man.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:22:05)
⁓ Yeah well ⁓ but there was something to that you derived from that situation. ⁓ Something that you learned ⁓ and and so ⁓ in participation you're you're actually having an opportunity through that participation to gain a new perspective, a new situation, a new
Erin P (00:22:16)
Still am.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:22:35)
New ⁓ perception that is a karmic lesson coming out of probably several lifetimes ⁓ where you have been ⁓ codependent and or maybe overtrusting ⁓ or maybe too much reliance on ⁓ placing values outside of yourself. So and I and I'm just just using words here. I don't know that because it
Erin P (00:23:02)
No, you're not. You name it you name it exactly what it is. ⁓
Marvin Wilkerson (00:23:05)
⁓ But I mean, if I if I read the chart, then I would know the energy, and then I would even be more specific. ⁓ And that's what astrology does for me, is to be specific. But you know, the the y you know, we always run around saying, well, what about free will? I have free will. ⁓ Well, the truth of the matter is, is you you ⁓ you've got an option to choose an attitude about your life.
Erin P (00:23:34)
Yes. Yes. ⁓
Marvin Wilkerson (00:23:34)
You can choose a good attitude, or you can choose a bad attitude. ⁓ That's your free will. The next thing is, is you have an option to use your creative abilities at any moment in time. Creative abilities, not attitude. Creative abilities to work your way through your struggles, your pains, your conflicts.
your happiness is and your joys. ⁓ You know, you you you have a ⁓ well when you need to when you meet Mr. Wright again you'll you'll be a little more creative in how you're choosing them ⁓ and evaluating ⁓ how they ⁓ enhance you your life and how the two of you can come together and be as one
Which ⁓ now allows that objectivity between you and another person to now ⁓ really help you to understand the depth of what's going on inside of you, ⁓ and vice versa. So it's just a beautiful tapestry. ⁓ And ⁓ y you know, I'm so appreciative of Einstein when he said there's only two truths, science and philosophy. And I feel like, you know. ⁓
Erin P (00:24:45)
Yeah. Yes.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:25:01)
I'm I'm definitely a philosopher, ⁓ but I've used I I've built that philosophy on the backs of some big giant people ⁓ that are far more giant than me. ⁓ And I I just seem to have an ability, creativity, to ⁓ put all of that learning and teaching into coherent understanding and ⁓
Erin P (00:25:04)
Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:25:29)
And I go back to Walter Russell. It helps me feel like I am connected to universal consciousness when I do that. It comes from that higher source, that higher sense ⁓ in me. ⁓ And ⁓ that allows me to just be live in appreciation and gratitude from everything as an opportunity.
Erin P (00:25:54)
I love it. So, ⁓ what's the difference then between surrender and giving up? ⁓ And I say this because ⁓ the audience, people listening, may hear that you're not the doer, you know, like stop trying to force it. And they may panic and feel like they need to just stop doing what they're doing. And so I I want us to really clarify like what it means to like surrender to
The you know, the the divine design that we've already that's already been destined for us versus like just giving up, you know, like what's the difference there?
Marvin Wilkerson (00:26:29)
Well, I'm gonna give you a metaphor that I just experienced about three days ago. Yeah, you know, ⁓ that r relationships is a feminine quality. That's not a masculine quality at all. ⁓ I have I've got a home that I'm trying to sell that was when my mother passed, it's the estate home.
Erin P (00:26:34)
Okay, I love it.
Erin P (00:26:40)
Mm-hmm.
Erin P (00:26:44)
Yeah, we know.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:26:57)
And I've had to work really hard over the last six months to sell it ⁓ or or fix it up and get it ready to sell. ⁓ And ⁓ I've I ⁓ you know I I've I've been finding myself ⁓ really trying to push to get things to happen. So here now I'm human. I'm pushing to make things happen. Well, guess what dream that I had.
about three nights ago that was just as vivid and clear and joyful and happy as as any dream I've ever had in my life. And it was ⁓ all the women in my life. And it was like it must have been a party of a hundred women. And I've known some of them, but I could just feel this feminine energy ⁓ all around me. I was happy that I got to see some people
That have passed that have been a part of my life. ⁓ And so when ⁓ I ⁓ awaken, ⁓ I could ⁓ ask, yeah, what did that mean? What is this trying to show me? And of course, listening to my intuitive voice, it was, how about stop pushing to get what you want and allow it to come to you? ⁓ And I thought, well. ⁓
Erin P (00:27:58)
Wow.
Erin P (00:28:22)
Hmm.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:28:25)
That's like writing a book. I'll be damned if I'm op ⁓ I'm gonna push anymore. How about just telling me what you want me to do and I and I'll ⁓ relax ⁓ and ⁓ just live in joy. I don't need to worry about selling the house. I don't need to worry about any finances. ⁓ I don't need to worry about anything whatsoever. ⁓
Erin P (00:28:30)
Yeah. Yeah.
Erin P (00:28:41)
Mm. Yes.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:28:54)
And so I just ⁓ that is the metaphor for how you ⁓ acquiesce ⁓ to the ego, ⁓ to ⁓ the ⁓ to the higher self, to the soul self, is when because the ego is going to produce ⁓ it's gonna produce some you know, language that it thinks you ought to follow. It thinks you ought to do. ⁓
Erin P (00:29:20)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. ⁓
Marvin Wilkerson (00:29:22)
You can't just sit here and wait for something to happen. Well, I'm not sitting waiting for something to happen when one is something is presented to me that I need to do. ⁓ Well, then it's very clear, it's very ⁓ impulse, and I start working towards it every day. Or it could it could just mean that I work for it over the next 10, 15 minutes. It doesn't make any difference. Or 10 or 15 years.
Erin P (00:29:41)
⁓
Erin P (00:29:46)
Mm. Or ten, fifteen years.
Yes. Yes. I I love that. ⁓ And, you know, I wanna it just acknowledge how just for those that just need them to read the reiteration around the surrender and giving up is that, you know, sometimes it may feel like a giving up, you know, 'cause th we're still dealing with that emotional attachment to control ⁓ and maybe feeling like we're a failure if things aren't working out exactly the way we want them to.
And that's the piece that is the surrender. It's allowing those emotions, is allowing the grief of the ⁓ of of the loss of not having exactly what you want, because that is a grief. ⁓ And and that is the surrender. That that is it. And so because your story, the the metaphor you gave is exactly on point. Like a lot of people, I'm going through a very similar situation exactly with the real estate. ⁓ And there is a grief in not getting what you want.
And having to surrender to a higher cause, a higher plan, a d of a divine alignment, a divine timing. ⁓ And ⁓ so often we want to grip to what we can control and what we want and the outcome we want. And that is what creates the resistance to begin with. So ⁓ yeah, I like that. And so ⁓ a client told you that she meditates five hours a day and still ask, why is everything falling apart? ⁓
I get this more than anybody. And you told her to quit trying to be so spiritual. So why you say that to her? ⁓ Yes.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:31:24)
Well, because we are spiritual. We're a spiritual beings in a physical body. ⁓ I I like the way David Hawkins says it. You're ⁓ I'm not the body. I have a body. ⁓ I just told that to a smoker yesterday that's got all these physical maladies. He's a smoker ⁓ and he's got he's got quite a few problems at 67 years old. I said, look.
Erin P (00:31:29)
Yes.
Erin P (00:31:38)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Erin P (00:31:42)
Mm-hmm.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:31:53)
I'm seventy-five years old. I've got more pains than you could even shake a stick at. I've got more problems in this body than I've got new knees, new hip, and I've got broken toes, torn shoulder, roller cuff. ⁓ I said, ⁓ I just treat the body in a way that it can last, and it's given me the best possible opportunity to stay here in this dimension, continue to love my wife and family, continue to have joys and pleasures.
Erin P (00:32:11)
Yeah.
Erin P (00:32:18)
Yes.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:32:24)
So I can't focus ⁓ on all of what's wrong going on with the body. I can focus on treating the body the best way that I can. ⁓ Otherwise, ⁓ even Harvard says that pain is 50% ⁓ mental. And so quit looking at the body and and quit looking at your life is is it's in pain. So what? It's in pain.
Erin P (00:32:33)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Erin P (00:32:41)
Yeah.
Erin P (00:32:52)
Yes.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:32:53)
You you you you're still having up as long as you you know, I I I had an internist one time tell me, look, you want to stay healthy to the last 30 days. ⁓ And then you can put up with anything for 30 days. ⁓ So how about how about just work on being healthy? And the first thing you need to do is stop smoking cigarettes. That's the most unhealthiest thing you can do. ⁓ And I mean, you know, I think I I got to him a little bit about that.
Erin P (00:33:08)
Yeah.
Erin P (00:33:16)
Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:33:23)
Because I'm I'm a hard person to ignore.
Erin P (00:33:24)
Okay.
Yeah. And and to continue with that point around the the w we're not the bod we have bodies, we're not the body. We're not and so I really love this idea of ⁓ you know ⁓
accepting sort of just like what is. And I practice Tai Chi. I talked about that journey with you too. And the pain too is ⁓ our energy and motion, our emotions essentially. ⁓ And a lot of times people don't realize that the pain is awakening. It's it's how we get to deeper levels. ⁓ And I'm it maybe it may be different for someone who's ⁓ more senior or someone who's like in my my
age or my generation where the pain is more emotional. ⁓ And ⁓ being able to feel that pain and allow that pain, you know, is how we get to the breakthroughs. And so I think sometimes too that's harder people to receive.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:34:22)
Yes, I think that ⁓ I mean basically
Marvin Wilkerson (00:34:29)
Yeah you ⁓ when you understand ⁓ that the most power in your life is ⁓ feelings, intuition, and visualization. Those are truths. ⁓ And ⁓ it isn't it interesting that where we where women wear their ⁓ what what were those things they used to put over their head to hold their hair in place? So it's not a barrette.
but a a bonnet. Okay. Well, right where that bonnet goes on the top of your head is a part of the brain that holds visualization ⁓ and ⁓ activates pain.
Erin P (00:34:59)
A bonnet. Mm-hmm.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:35:17)
Think of that for a second. So when you're in pain, if you learn to visualize a positive vision, well the pain's gotta go away because this overbrain only thinks of one thing at a time. ⁓ And so ⁓ you know, I d I just find that i it it's almost
Erin P (00:35:20)
I didn't think about that.
Erin P (00:35:36)
Ha ha ha.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:35:46)
It's almost humorous that we have ⁓ evolved like that, that ⁓ vision and pain are in the same place in the brain.
Erin P (00:35:59)
Yes. I love that. Such a that's a beautiful point, yes.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:36:00)
And so ⁓ yes. ⁓ And so ⁓ y you know, when we ⁓ what ⁓ one one of the a Shigong teacher ⁓ talks about timelessness ⁓ raises your vibration, and that's hypnosis. And so when we ⁓ leave
our conscious thinking mind and get into a hypnotic state or a meditative state and become very relaxed in the body, ⁓ the conscious mind ⁓ kind of goes ⁓ back and and takes us takes ⁓ a a second step behind the subconscious, which now becomes more forward and more apparent. And that's where
Healing can take place. ⁓ I mean that that just is the that's the route to quantum healing is leaving your identity. See, we all identify with ourselves as ⁓ you know, I'm Marvin ⁓ and ⁓ you're General Patton ⁓ and ⁓ I'm sorry, Aaron, I had to I had to sneak that in there. ⁓
Erin P (00:37:26)
I love it. I love it. ⁓
Marvin Wilkerson (00:37:31)
But ⁓ I mean, you know, see, we have this personal identity of who we are and how we've grown and what we are. And ultimately, when we transition, that's all negated. You're still you're you're you're you're still your authentic you. You lose nothing. ⁓ And ⁓ it's ⁓ i I I like the the quote about y you know.
Life and death are the same thing. And when you think of life and death as the same thing, well then all of a sudden the subconscious no longer has a fear of death.
Erin P (00:38:01)
Yeah.
Erin P (00:38:06)
Yeah.
Erin P (00:38:10)
Yep. A hundred percent.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:38:12)
And so ⁓ y you see, that this is this is the power of us as human beings. And this is what we have potential to ⁓ utilize as our tools to make the best of this this journey.
Erin P (00:38:31)
I this is so perfect. And my next question is gonna is such a ⁓ a great build on this because you talk what we're sharing too about this this this blend, this integration, this this almost like there's no veil between the spirit and the physical. ⁓ And you say in your experience too that you talk to spirit out loud. Like you said, you heard your uncle, you told me you heard your uncle by the water. And a lot of times I I've talked to so many different people, spiritual people, not spiritual people.
who've heard grandparents, who dreamt about this, who've heard these voices. ⁓ And so where is the line between imagination ⁓ and genuine communion, essentially? And it ⁓ does that line even matter?
Marvin Wilkerson (00:39:11)
Well I tell you what you do.
I tell you what I tell people. How how often is your conscious thinking mind right?
Marvin Wilkerson (00:39:25)
Less than fifty percent?
Erin P (00:39:27)
I would say that for sure. Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:39:28)
30, 40%? Let's ⁓ say how often is your intuition right? 70, 80%? It don't even have to be 100%. How about just 70 or 80%? ⁓
Erin P (00:39:36)
Yeah.
Yeah.
Much greater than fifty.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:39:43)
It's a heck of a lot greater than fifty. So how about if you hear this conversation in your mind, allow it to be real?
Erin P (00:39:46)
Mm.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:39:57)
What how's it gonna hurt?
You see? And so ⁓ the thing about it is, is I mean, ⁓ when ⁓ you you go into a regression, or a person is is ⁓ regressed into later in life or into another lifetime, they're going to see images. ⁓ And ⁓ you have to work really hard sometimes to get people to ⁓ understand that those images
That's what I need to hear to guide you.
You see. ⁓ And ⁓ it's unfortunate, but a lot of hypnotists that don't believe or accept the fact that ⁓ of regression theory and regression into past lives, they say, Well, you're you're making it up. Well, well, you know how many times I want people to make things up ⁓ all the time, because the fact
Is you can't make things up. You've either experienced in the past, you've had knowledge of it before, but there is no making things up that are not going to have some validity at some point or some way in your life. I mean, I proved that when I when I had a young man that was in a tragic car accident where all his buddies died.
Erin P (00:41:06)
Mm-hmm.
Erin P (00:41:23)
Mm-hmm.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:41:32)
And he blocked it all out. But as I was working through the ⁓ regression of it, I had him start he he blocked it, starting getting in the car. So I said, Well, just think about getting opening the a car door and getting in. Okay, I got it. Okay, now think about riding down the road with your buddies. ⁓ What's going on? Well, the radio's playing and we're all we're all joking and happy and we're all drunk, of course.
Erin P (00:41:53)
Mm-hmm.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:42:00)
And and I said, and and so and tell me what is the driver doing right now? Well, he's playing with the radio. Well, they hit a car head on. ⁓ And ⁓ then I asked him ⁓ what was he experiencing now ⁓ after the accident? And he said, Well, I'm I see my my friends are dead and I hear an ambulance coming. Now this all
This all started unfolding and unwinding because I had him make up going into ⁓ opening a car door. You see? ⁓ So ⁓ when you relax and allow what to come in, and so many times people say, well, that's not what they want to see. ⁓ I j I just had a I just had a ⁓ a music recording ⁓ manager.
Erin P (00:42:36)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. ⁓
Marvin Wilkerson (00:42:58)
That wanted to do regression so bad. And that usually is a tip-off that's going to be pretty difficult. ⁓ but I asked her to see a magic mirror and then walk up to the mirror and see her auric field around that i i around her body. What colors did she see? She says, it's red. Well, she saw another couple colors, yellow ⁓ and blue, and of course, red is.
Red is fighting desire and ⁓ and ⁓ asserting. Yellow is thinking, and so the blue is more spiritual, which he was kind of open to spirituality. And then when I brought her out into ⁓ her regular ⁓ that brought her back from hypnosis, she says, yeah, I saw a ⁓ a British coat in England when I was talking about the red.
I said, well, why didn't you tell me that? ⁓ Because we could have used that to go into a lifetime of being in England. ⁓ But you see, so often we when we get images ⁓ and and get visions, ⁓ it just seems so ⁓ elusive that we want to deny it. that's not what they want. And
Erin P (00:44:24)
Mm. ⁓
Marvin Wilkerson (00:44:25)
That was my first regression back in the 1980s ⁓ of being regressed. And I just laid there for two hours having all these pictures going on and everything. And I didn't say a word. I said, well, that's not what he's asking for. ⁓ And so, ⁓ and when I got out of that regression, he said, Well, that's what I wanted you to tell me. ⁓ So ⁓ that was my first hand experience of regression. And of course.
Erin P (00:44:29)
Mm-hmm.
Erin P (00:44:48)
Interesting.
Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:44:53)
When I went into it the next time, I you know, I just ⁓ I unloaded. ⁓ I mean, i if it popped into my mind, I said it.
Erin P (00:45:00)
Yeah.
Erin P (00:45:06)
Okay, so ⁓ I am so glad you're talking about this because we really haven't had too many metaphysical practitioners on the show recently. So it's really good. That's why I'm really allowing you to go into depth and detail and talking about this experience. We certainly haven't had any hypnotists in a while. And I want people to really understand the the power ⁓ of visualization, the power of imagination, the power of connection.
And I wanna also dive into another aspect of your soul archetype with which is your evolutionary astrology gifts. ⁓ And I want and a lot of people are into astrology. I myself am still understanding and I shared my chart with you before in our intro call. ⁓ And I want people to really ⁓
you know, you talk about the chart as the soul's blueprint blueprint and we understand that more or less. ⁓ And and evolutionary astrology specifically talks about that soul blueprint more than just like a weekly forecast. And so with that knowing, ⁓ what does the chart reveal that a woman can't see on her own?
Marvin Wilkerson (00:46:10)
Well, ⁓ i it's a map ⁓ of ⁓ i it of a specific moment in time when you were born where the energy of the universe ⁓ now created a certain vibration. ⁓ And I like the the explanation of is when you are born and take that first breath, you take on the vibration.
Of the the universe. And so it's ⁓ all is energy. That's all there is to it, Einstein. And so that energy represents certain vibrations in your life. And those vibrations now can be ⁓ defined ⁓ is and is defining of how you utilize.
Each one of those energies in your life and how they're related to other energies that they interact with. And then that basically becomes ⁓ the ⁓ characteristics ⁓ and the pattern of how you're using energy in your life for good or bad. It talks about your talents, it talks about your abilities, it talks about ⁓ energies that you've used very, very well.
It talks about ⁓ your skills, your leaderships. And it also talks about where your struggles, where your conflicts are created by your own mind, where you've created those conflicts because you haven't used that energy in a positive way. You've had misperceptions, ⁓ misperceptions and perspectives ⁓ about that energy. And so if I can help a person understand.
where they're coming from in from past lives and what that emotional patterning is ⁓ and what you're trying to accomplish on a soul level. Well then that ⁓ you know if it's like ⁓ if we knew where we were going we would get there. ⁓ And so ⁓ that's how for me how spiritual astrology works. You know where you're going.
Erin P (00:48:28)
Yeah. Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:48:39)
And then you also are going to know what needs to be transformed. Where was your errors ⁓ in that energy and use of that planetary energy and vibration? And when you know that, I mean, you know, I don't tell people ⁓ I ⁓ I mean through a reading, I'll ask, ⁓ you know, ⁓ is this right? Do you agree with this? ⁓ Because
Erin P (00:49:06)
Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:49:08)
I I I'm not the wizard of Oz. I'm I'm giving you the benefit of reading about well over ten thousand people. ⁓ And so ⁓ I get a pretty good idea of how that energy is manifesting, but I want your input in saying, Yeah, that's true, that's right. And of course, ⁓ you know, we have a psych psychological studies. ⁓
Erin P (00:49:25)
He's very good, by the way, guys.
Erin P (00:49:30)
Yeah, yep.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:49:38)
From ⁓ and how that ⁓ energy is manifesting. And so ⁓ maybe some of the negatives are not everything, ⁓ every one of those psychological ⁓ examples, but maybe some of them are. I said, well, throw away the ones that aren't and and let's focus on the ones that are correct. And so there is no other, ⁓ no other genre. There is nothing else that has a
⁓ language that astrology has around energy. So we understand a variety of energies from the center of this solar system ⁓ all the way to this solar system that we're in and all the planetary energies and all the ⁓ so many I I mean, you know, astrologers ⁓ yeah I mean you literally could have
hundreds of ways ⁓ to define a human being through the variable variable energies ⁓ that will are in a map or in the time of your birth or in the moment of your birth. And so, you know, ⁓ basically I I ⁓ I'm reading probably about fifteen energies when I do a chart reading. I I don't see any point in r in ⁓ going that
Erin P (00:50:52)
So good.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:51:07)
any deeper than that. ⁓ it's pretty difficult to hold on to all that information as it is. ⁓ I mean, when I was studying astrology with a group back in the 80s, ⁓ we could we could put a chart on the board and describe it and define it for months. And how that and how that character was playing out and the conflicts and the opportunities
Erin P (00:51:15)
Mm-hmm.
Erin P (00:51:27)
Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:51:36)
⁓ that a chart reveals. And I mean, you know, and and to make that clear, a chart just doesn't reveal all the negatives. It reveals the positives as well, where your talents, tools, and abilities are. Very specifically. And so ⁓ it's a it's a magnificent tool. It has it's the best ⁓ language there is
Erin P (00:51:39)
Yes. ⁓
Erin P (00:51:45)
Mm-hmm.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:52:05)
available to us ⁓ on everything, all science that we know. No science knows ⁓ as much about energy ⁓ as an astrologer.
Erin P (00:52:11)
I love it.
Erin P (00:52:15)
Astrology. That is such a beautiful way to articulate astrology as the language of energy. ⁓ And you are absolutely spot on this. And that's exactly how I've been using it. The tool I've been using it is how why am I feeling this way? What's happening cosmically that's moving through me this way? And like again,
Our emotions are energy in motion. So if you're feeling a little bit sadder today, or if you're feeling much more confident today, it it likely has something to do with the way that the planetary system's moving with your energetic system, energetic body. ⁓ So it's just that's just such a beautiful way to articulate what astrology is. And on our first call, ⁓ you didn't remember it, but I you read my ⁓
my nodes in about 90 seconds, literally. ⁓ You know, my south my south notes in Scorpio, my north notes in Taurus. ⁓ And you name the codependency, which you named again without even remembering, and the power and control pattern that I've spent essentially a decade unwinding. ⁓ And for someone who's never had that mirror held up to them, ⁓ what opens when they start to finally see that blueprint? So for those that may be new to astrology or
interested in in coming to it, please explain that.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:53:33)
Well, ⁓ i i if you accept what is being presented, and and I'm not talking about pop astrology. I'm not talking about bubblegum astrology because after fifty years ⁓ a lot of astrology is pop and bubblegum. ⁓ and and that's why I preface it ⁓ as a spiritual astrology because I come from a universal consciousness when I'm when I'm channeling
Erin P (00:53:47)
Yeah. ⁓
Erin P (00:53:51)
Yes.
Erin P (00:54:00)
Mm-hmm.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:54:03)
⁓ astrology. So ⁓ when it's spot on and it triggers something within you, well then that's it's correct. And you need to take a look at it. It's like a somatic feeling. It's in the body. When I took when if I said to you about codependence, well that triggered your emotions in your body. And so ⁓ now that
Erin P (00:54:04)
Mm-hmm.
Erin P (00:54:15)
Yeah.
Erin P (00:54:20)
Yes. Yes.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:54:30)
That gives you a greater understanding in a variety of different ways that I can't explain because it's you, it's your body, it's your mind, ⁓ your experience. ⁓ And so ⁓ it is a way now to understand how the energy and the vibrations are working in our life, ⁓ and that when those ⁓ those patterns can repeat ⁓ or the patterns can bring up an experience over and over.
Erin P (00:54:42)
Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:55:00)
⁓ then you can get a little more understanding of why. And if I said to you, if you were codependent, then your your immediate need would be to try to be more individualistic, more value oriented of your own authentic values and nobody else's and no feedback from the outside world. ⁓ So that way ⁓
Erin P (00:55:29)
That's exactly where I'm at right now.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:55:30)
You can now that away you can now ⁓ utilize ⁓ a reading and utilize that what astrology is is showing you and helping you to understand.
About yourself.
Erin P (00:55:48)
Myself. Well, ⁓ I got one more question, and then we're gonna go to the lightning round. So you said something that stopped me, and I think this is gonna be really powerful for so many listeners that women are coming into their power, and this is a global phenomenon in truth. ⁓ And the pendulum is swinging, ⁓ and the chaos women are moving through right now is the birth ⁓ of that organized power, essentially.
So I want you to say that to the woman who feels that she's drowning in chaos, not rising in it.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:56:25)
Well, we all have to have and we all within ourselves, whether we're a man or a female, we we have both masculine feminine qualities within ourselves. And the feminine quality is always ⁓ relationship oriented, f ⁓ foundational oriented. ⁓ the feminine quality is where we get visions.
you know, man has built this world based upon ⁓ the visions of the woman, ⁓ in all honesty. ⁓ And so when y you know, when the structure of culture and society starts ⁓ o ⁓ overwhelming ⁓ who you are, you know, ⁓ w we're supposed to work harder to make more to to ⁓ to ⁓
Erin P (00:57:00)
Yes, yes, yes.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:57:23)
to do ⁓ and so forth. ⁓ And that's where we're we're out of balance. And so I would say it's a balance thing for women to realize ⁓ their power ⁓ is ⁓ I mean, you know, the bottom line is they have the power to bring forth life. ⁓ I mean, ⁓ how how much more powerful can you be? ⁓ And so ⁓
Erin P (00:57:43)
Yes.
Erin P (00:57:51)
To bring forth, create, nurture, teach.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:57:53)
⁓ It we we we've been male dominated for about twenty two hundred years, ⁓ and that time is coming to an end. You you're you're moving into a different age, and that age is going to be dominated as humanitarian, ⁓ as much more of ⁓ equality ⁓ and much more reliance on intuition.
Erin P (00:58:04)
Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (00:58:22)
And so the the future is much going to be ⁓ a much more of a feminine aspect, ⁓ even if Aquarius is ⁓ a ⁓ masculine aspect, it still has the feminine quality. So Aquariuses can be highly intellectual, but they also can be highly logical. And so we're moving into an age where the ⁓
The future is going to so far surpass ⁓ where we are. ⁓ And as we become more ⁓ equality oriented, admitting truths ⁓ about society we've built, as long as we move more towards ⁓ equality and balance with the masculine feminine, well then the feminine's going to realize their place ⁓ in ⁓ in this.
realm in this world is is equally powerful as men. And I mean, you know, I think that t for me, man the men in this world are falling way short of the men I grew up with.
Men ⁓ aren't so men anymore. And that's probably a good thing. And so ⁓ there is a lot of ⁓ you know, men are becoming more second-guessing of themselves ⁓ and starting to ⁓ start ⁓ admitting feelings. That wasn't acceptable in the 60s, you know. ⁓
Erin P (00:59:45)
That part. Yeah.
Erin P (01:00:03)
Hm.
Right.
Marvin Wilkerson (01:00:09)
⁓ you know, a little boy fall down and mommy picky up and says, that's okay, honey. It's just a little scratch. You'll be all right. It's just a boo-boo. And then if they pick up a little girl to go that, ⁓ sweetie pie, it's okay, you'll be okay. Mommy love will hold you. I mean, you know, how come that it can't be that kind of nurturance all the way around? So, and I think that.
Erin P (01:00:34)
Yeah.
Marvin Wilkerson (01:00:37)
So ⁓ there's been a ⁓ almost a ⁓ be a man. Well, what the heck does that mean anymore? ⁓ And so I think that women have to realize their power and realize out of chaos comes organization. ⁓ And the whole world is in chaos right now, ⁓ and especially this country is.
Erin P (01:00:45)
Ha ha ha ha. ⁓
Marvin Wilkerson (01:01:04)
in chaos being mapped out by the crazy man that's leading it. ⁓ And he's le he's leading it as a purpose ⁓ and he's a reflection ⁓ of of this society, of this culture. And so ⁓ we need to not just ⁓ we need to not just look at him to ⁓ as a
Erin P (01:01:18)
A hundred percent. A hundred percent.
Marvin Wilkerson (01:01:32)
from a negative aspect but realize that he is playing a role for three hundred and seventy thousand people that we now in the in the 250th year of the birth of this country that we need to change ⁓ some of the fabric and the construction of what we've built this society to be because it no longer works, it's not going to work in the future and it's ugly.
Erin P (01:02:02)
Yeah. And now that we're it's since we're on the metaphysical ⁓ meta business millennial, but we talk metaphysical concepts. I mean two fifty is, you know, in numerology at the seven. So we're in a seven year, so we're in spiritual completion. So it makes perfect sense that we're coming to a completion of who we are energetically as a comp as a company. ⁓ Yeah, as a company as a United States corporation. ⁓ Properly ⁓
Marvin Wilkerson (01:02:03)
It's ugly. ⁓ And
Marvin Wilkerson (01:02:27)
Yeah. Yeah. ⁓ As the corporation they call the United States. ⁓
Erin P (01:02:32)
⁓ Yes. So we are in a year of completion and it is time to really ⁓ to to remember how what we've learned our all of our l great lessons so that we can start over and rebuild a beautiful, you know, utopian version that we had all already that was the foundation of of the of the if its creation. And so ⁓ what a beautiful way to s to end this. I really want to get into the lightning round, ⁓ because this is like the the fun part of the the show.
And I'm just gonna ask you a question and like whatever pops up in your head, you just say it in a few words. So one quote, since I know you're the quote guy, ⁓ one quote that you tattoo on every client's mirror.
Marvin Wilkerson (01:03:16)
Live in the moment.
Erin P (01:03:18)
Love it. Very simple, very easy. Live in the moment. Okay, one book other than your own, everyone should read.
Marvin Wilkerson (01:03:28)
Letting Go by doctor David Hawkins.
Erin P (01:03:31)
Okay. And I love Dr. David Hawkins. I talk about him all the time on this show, by the way. ⁓ But I never heard of letting go, so I'm gonna look that up. Okay. A universal law. Really? I'm always reading the map of consciousness and the other the books about his research. ⁓ Okay, cool. Okay, next question is a universal law hiding in plain sight in nature.
Marvin Wilkerson (01:03:41)
it's the best book he wrote.
Marvin Wilkerson (01:03:47)
Yeah. Well you'll love letting go.
Marvin Wilkerson (01:04:00)
Characteristics of animals
Erin P (01:04:03)
The characteristics of animals. Okay. And the ⁓ you as a universal law?
Okay.
Marvin Wilkerson (01:04:11)
Because ⁓ you know, even the Bible says, ⁓ who who puts the lilies of the valley? Who who supports the animals and and feeds the animals and so and the trees? And the trees are connected. Everything is connected. And so who does that? The universe. ⁓ And when you read the characteristics of animals, you're reading a message that they're sending you.
Erin P (01:04:33)
Yes.
Marvin Wilkerson (01:04:40)
Because they just showed up in your light.
Erin P (01:04:43)
Mm hmm. I love that. Insects too?
Marvin Wilkerson (01:04:47)
⁓ Everything. ⁓ Everything is the universe. ⁓
Erin P (01:04:54)
The one that I smashed in my house yesterday, 'cause he he flew in my house and it scared me, so I I'm smashing him with the broom. ⁓
Marvin Wilkerson (01:04:59)
⁓ You know, Yoga Nandas told ⁓ some workers one time, ⁓ they said, Well, there's always these these flies and gnats around and everything. And he says, They're just trying to keep you keep moving.
Erin P (01:05:17)
⁓ I love that. I love that. Okay. ⁓ So finish this sentence. The most spiritual thing a woman in business can do is
Marvin Wilkerson (01:05:28)
Live your excitement, follow your passion, and let go of the outcome.
Erin P (01:05:34)
Love it. I love it. Okay. So call back. So are you the doer?
Marvin Wilkerson (01:05:41)
Never.
Erin P (01:05:42)
⁓ Okay, well this was the perfect way to wrap up our call. We're never the doer. ⁓
We follow our dreams, we live in the moment, we ⁓ embrace the excitement, ⁓ and we we pay attention to all that's around us. And so I just wanna thank you so much, Marvin, for being on this show, for giving us so much of your time, and also just let people know how we can find you, where we can get your book and ⁓ and potentially work with you.
Marvin Wilkerson (01:06:14)
Well, you can go to SoulFusion Healing dot com ⁓ and all of my sites are in there. You can reach me from there. ⁓ you can put Marvin in front of ⁓ Soul Fusion Healing and send me ⁓ an email. ⁓ you can get to me through Astromarv dot com. ⁓ put Marvin in front of that and you can email me. And you can get me through blhypnosis.com, which is ⁓ the
hypnosis website ⁓ and you can put Marvin in front of that and reach me through the email. So I'm available. ⁓
